These Terms of Use apply in connection with any websites, online services, and/or applications owned or operated by Easy Compare (“we,” “us,” or “our”), including, without limitation, in connection with:

• the website currently located at easycompare.ca and any other website owned by us upon which these Terms of Use are linked (collectively, the “Site”); and
• any other interactive features, widgets, products, services, and resources offered by us and/or our affiliates, including auto insurance quote comparison tools (all of which are collectively referred to as the “Services”).

1. General Provisions

THESE TERMS OF USE TOGETHER WITH THE PRIVACY POLICY AND ANY SUPPLEMENTAL TERMS, CONDITIONS, OR RULES POSTED TO A SPECIFIC AREA OF THE SITE/SERVICES (COLLECTIVELY, “TERMS”) SET FORTH THE LEGALLY BINDING TERMS GOVERNING YOUR USE OF THE SITE AND SERVICES. By entering the Site or using the Services, you acknowledge and agree to all terms, conditions, and rules stated in these Terms. We may modify these Terms at any time; your continued use constitutes acceptance.

2. Jurisdiction and Governing Law (Canada)

By entering the Site or using the Services, you acknowledge and agree that they are intended for use by residents of Canada aged 18 years or older and will be governed according to the laws of the Province of Ontario and applicable federal laws of Canada (including PIPEDA), without regard to conflicts of laws principles. If you are not a Canadian resident or under 18, you are prohibited from accessing the Site or using the Services.

The Site/Services provide you with information about auto insurance products and connect you with licensed Canadian insurance agents, insurers, and third-party insurance service websites (“Insurance Services”). Easy Compare is not an insurance company or insurance agent. We do not endorse any specific insurer, product, or discount. We do not guarantee that any Insurance Service will contact you or provide coverage. All Content is provided on an “AS-IS” basis. We disclaim all warranties regarding accuracy, completeness, or reliability to the fullest extent permitted by law.

4. Password and Account Security

If you create an account, you must provide accurate information and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activities under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate access at our discretion.

5. Consent for Communications (Canada)

By providing your telephone number or email via the Site, you consent to receive marketing calls, text messages, and emails from Easy Compare and our partner insurance providers, where permitted under Canadian anti-spam legislation (CASL). Standard message and data rates may apply. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us or using opt-out mechanisms. Calls may be recorded for quality assurance.

6. Our Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, logos, and design elements on the Site are owned by Easy Compare or used under license. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without our express written permission. You may print or download information for personal, non-commercial use only.

Any content you submit (e.g., reviews, forum posts, quote requests) is non-confidential and grants Easy Compare a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, modify, and publish such content. You represent that you own or have rights to your submissions and that they do not violate any laws or third-party rights. We reserve the right to remove offensive or unlawful submissions.

THE SITE AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY CANADIAN LAW, EASY COMPARE AND ITS AFFILIATES DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR SERVICES, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED FIVE DOLLARS ($5.00 CAD).

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Easy Compare and its affiliates, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the Site/Services.

11. Dispute Resolution & Arbitration (Canada)

Any dispute arising out of these Terms or your use of the Services shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration Act (Ontario), unless otherwise agreed. The arbitration shall take place in Toronto, Ontario, and each party shall bear its own costs. Class actions and class arbitrations are not permitted. You waive the right to a trial by jury. Disputes must be brought within one (1) year of the date the claim arose.

The Site may contain links to third-party websites (e.g., insurance carriers). We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of those websites. Access them at your own risk.
